The MS Amlin Graduate Programme (UK)
Are you interested in the big issues impacting businesses and the global economy? At MS Amlin we work with companies to respond to those issues. From climate change to future pandemics, we assess the risks that companies face, and assume that risk through the insurance we provide. Our job is to protect our clients from loss – operational, financial and reputational – and it takes time to build that expertise.
We're looking for the next generation of Underwriting Leaders. Those with the integrity and the credibility to gain respect from their colleagues even at the earliest stages of their career.
Details of our graduate programme can be found below and, if this is of interest, we'd love to hear from you.
Who should apply?

We’re looking for curious and articulate people prepared to put in the hard work to learn the ropes in Insurance. Joining our graduate programme will mean just that. You’ll spend time in a number of our businesses, learning from our people and taking part in a dedicated training programme which will include CII qualifications and support to develop the professional skills needed to thrive in your career.
Applications are welcome from any subject discipline. We’re not looking for previous insurance experience, nor mathematical wizardry. We believe that great underwriting is an art, not a science, so if you’re someone who thinks you have the curiosity, judgement and patience to master that art, we would love to hear from you.
What you can expect from the programme
Our structured, two-year rotational programme will give you exposure to different parts of our London underwriting business. In the beginning you won't be expected to specialise in any one area in particular – that will come later. We want you to get a feel for the business, learning the best fit for your talents and interests.
There will be plenty of learning and development opportunities covering technical and behavioural skills as well as regular feedback and progress reviews ensuring your continual professional development.
Whilst we want you to take responsibility, do a real job and start putting your own ideas forward from day one, we don't expect you to do that without support, which is why you'll have a senior-level mentor to use as a sounding board throughout the programme. You'll also have frequent opportunities to network with other graduates.
