Our technical team of Risk Advisors consists of ex-seafarers with a combined seagoing experience of almost 100 years. They are dedicated to assist our Underwriters with vessel screenings and analyses of condition surveys whereby they translate their knowledge and experience into risk advices that lead to tailor made insurance solutions.
Loss prevention and risk management
The best way of achieving good commercial results and keeping insurance costs to a minimum is to reduce or avoid risks. Our Client Services Desk team will advise you on how to manage your risks in the most advantageous way. We can also offer appropriate support for risk and loss prevention, including condition surveys, research into ship quality and management, research into recurring loss patterns, and tailor-made risk and loss prevention programs.
Client (legal) advice and support
Are you faced with a contract and in need of a second opinion? Do you need guidance when drafting a contract? Or do you need more information about legislation in a certain country?
The Client Services Desk offers loss prevention through pre-claim advice, reviews of contracts (such as Charterparties, Bills of Lading, Letters of Indemnity etc) and assistance with drafting clauses and contract negotiations. We will translate any legal issues into plain language and pragmatic solutions. Furthermore we study and share recent or changed legislation from all over the globe.
