An added benefit of our Yacht P&I policies is that we automatically cover newly acquired yachts, as long as you notify us within 60 days of purchase. This includes the delivery crew and any newly acquired tenders or toys.

Cover can be divided into the following main areas:

Third-party liability

Costs and expenses arising from your legal liabilities to third parties caused by your yacht, its tenders and or toys, but also caused by crew members are covered. An example would be of personal injury claims, collision or pollution.

Crew

As the owner of a yacht you are considered to be responsible for the care and safety of the crew that you hire. Medical costs, sick wages, the costs of repatriating an injured crew member, hiring a replacement as well as compensation costs arising from illness, permanent injury and death are covered.

Guests

As the owner of a yacht you are considered responsible for the care and safety of guests you may have on board. This part covers medical costs as well as the costs of repatriating an injured guest. Compensation costs arising from illness, permanent injury and death are also covered.

Water sports

Your liabilities to a crew, guest or any other person caused by tenders, toys and diving equipment used in conjunction with your yacht are covered. Cover can also be extended to include submarines.

Airborne craft

Claims caused by helicopters or other types of airborne craft whilst on board of you yacht are covered.
