MS Amlin strengthens its senior leadership team
~ New appointments support the momentum behind programme of change ~
MS Amlin, the leading global (re)insurer, today announces the appointment of two senior members to its executive team, strengthening the senior leadership under new CEO, Simon Beale, as he repositions the business for the long term.
Simon Smith joins MS Amlin in the role of Chief Operating Officer in July. Simon joins from Willis Towers Watson (WTW), where he held senior operations roles for over ten years. As Chief Executive Officer of its Global Solutions & Delivery, Simon led a team of 3500 employees, delivering a significant operational improvement programme. Prior to that, Simon was Chief Operating Officer of WTW Asia Pacific and he started his career at GE.
Vivian Leinster has been appointed to the role of Chief People Officer. Vivian, who brings over twenty years of experience in Human Resources, will be responsible for MS Amlin’s Human Resources function. Vivian was previously at Bupa UK where she was People Director since 2014. She was responsible for the people, cultural and change agenda across Bupa’s UK business and has a strong track record in driving transformation in businesses. She was prior to that at BT.
The formation of the new leadership team comes shortly after Simon Beale became CEO, with James Illingworth becoming Chief Underwriting Officer and Martyn Rodden Chief Risk Officer.
