MS Amlin Underwriting Limited appoints Peter McKenna as US President

The appointment marks a key milestone for MS AUL’s strategic growth in US markets

MS Amlin Underwriting Limited (MS AUL) today announces the appointment of Peter McKenna as President of newly formed sister company MS Amlin Distribution Holdings (MS ADH). McKenna will report into Johan Slabbert CEO of MS ADH.  He takes up the role with immediate effect.

An industry veteran, McKenna joins MS ADH from RSG Europe, where he most recently served as CEO for seven years. Responsible for the formation, development and management of RSG’s presence in Europe, McKenna expanded the business’ products and services across Europe and the Middle East. Prior to RSG, McKenna worked for twenty three years at AIG in a number of roles, including CEO, Financial Lines EMEA, and Chief Operating Officer, Financial Lines US & Canada. His experience leading cross-border business development and expansion projects marks him as a natural fit for MS ADH as the business looks to explore further acquisitions and investment opportunities for MS AUL in the US market.

Johan Slabbert, CEO of MS AUL and MS ADH, commented: “I am delighted that Peter will be joining the business, furthering our commitment and momentum to strategic growth in the US market. Peter is deeply experienced in building new businesses and driving growth, and has a proven track record in insurance markets across multiple geographies, including the US, Europe and the Middle East. As one of the industry’s highly regarded leaders, Peter’s appointment is a key milestone as we continue to strengthen our platform, brand and offering for clients in both established and developing markets.
